Cosplay done right!

Cosplay…cosplay…yeah, cosplay.

There are millions of cosplay images on the internet and the vast majority of them tend to be girls dressed as a sexy version of something, I’m not complaining but once you get past that you get into the realms of people who take this kind of thing VERY seriously, I watched an awesome movie a couple of weeks ago called Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fans Hope, it was great to watch and it featured Holly Conrad who built mind blowing Mass Effect costumes (Including a full sized robotic Krogan outfit)

Cosplay can be awesome when real effort is put into it so here’s a video I came across this morning showing how high the bar has been set!

Fright Rags are amazing at customer service

I’m a big horror fan, my house is full of horror prints, toys, movies, books, models, games etc.

It makes total sense that I’d wear horror related clothes too, a few years ago, choices were slim. Poorly printed posters onto cheap tshirts were pretty much your only choice and you’d struggle to find a wide selection. One day I was reading Rue Morgue and came across a small ad with an AWESOME series of t-shirts on it, this company was Fright Rags and Fright Rags do horror tshirts RIGHT!

Over the past 3 years I think I’ve ordered about 15 shirts from them, all awesome designs, all on great quality tshirts.
They regularly interact with fans of the company and will always respond to queries, their shirts are well priced as is the shipping, they can do NO WRONG!

SO, I ordered my girlfriend a “THEY LIVE” shirt that she’s wanted for ages, while I was ordering the shirt I looked at the box entitled “Any comments about your order”, I thought, yeah, I want to see a drawing of Dracula fighting the Wolfman on the back of my invoice goddamn it!

What’s your middle name? Do you like it?

This is something I keep thinking about, middle names are a sort of anything-goes, loose cannon, “what the hell!” things that your parents get entrusted with…and then go do something like choose a sensible name.

My middle name is after my dad, David, it’s not sexy or exciting but it’s traditional. I’ve wondered a few times about adding “Jett” so I could be Joe Jett, that would be pretty sweet!

I’ve had friends who’ve altered their names by deed-poll, one friend’s middle name is now “Thunder” which would look pretty cool on your drivers licence but imagine if you were wrongly convicted of a crime, it’s all the press would focus on and you’d look pretty stupid by all accounts!

SO…true believers, do you have a cool middle name? Do you want to change it to something more extreme?
